To attend a rally:
- Complete the online booking form - there is a link called 'Book Now' on each rally page.
- The Marshal will acknowledge your booking and for any rallies where a deposit is required, advise the amount to be forwarded to secure the booking.
- Turn up at the rally - the address and any other details are on the rally page. When you arrive report to the Rally Marshall who will take your remaining payment and guide you to where to pitch up and provide any further details regarding the rally.
Finding a site:
- Address details are given in the rally brochure and on the rally page on the website. Near the site look out for our SSCC rally signs (a yellow sign with SSCC).
- Confirm directions with a map before setting out.
At the rally:
- On arrival the Rally Marshall wll hand you an envelope detailing expenses to be paid.
- The fee should be paid in full, less any booking deposit, unless indicated otherwise in the rally brochure.
- The Rally Marshal will either designate a pitch for your caravan or motorhome or give you a choice.
- The Rally Marshall will also provide the location of the drinking water supply and chemical waste disposal.
- It is essential that you provide your own chemical sanitation at centre rallies.
- You may require levelling blocks as some pitches are on sloping ground.
- It is usual to park the towing vehicle on the offside of the caravan and to respect your neighbour’s space.
- Centre rules require a minimum distance of six meters between the sidewall of adjacent caravans. Unless site space is severely limited ralliers are allocated a larger pitch space than is necessary to comply with this rule.
- Members are allowed to reserve one space for a friend – a chair or bucket placed on the pitch indicates such a reservation.
- Members are required to place a fire bucket filled with water at the front of their caravan or motorhome.
General notes:
Additional information will be supplied with your rally programme when you arrive.
“Flag” is a meeting of ralliers, addressed by the Chairman or deputy, to thank Rally Marshals and impart news of future events. It is an oportunity to chat to the other ralliers and make new friends. We generally enjoy light refreshements so bring a mug with you for your tea or coffee.
